Fisherman's Friends?

Not hook, line, sinker or whatever (I'm not a fisherman, but those are fishy terms... literally. Never mind.) Anyways, a bunch of people seem to be coughing and sick around here, so I figured, why not.

I think these work a lot better than Hall's or Ricola or whatever. These "Lozenges," or as most people call them, cough drops, just blow everything clear. I found these at CVS. Next to all the other cough drops, on the shelf. Nice distinctive packaging. But anyways, these work a lot better for me. And if anyone's EDC conscious, these are a lot thinner and lighter than most other brands. Worth a try. $3.50 for 38. They don't look very appetizing, but they work great.

Lamy Safari

Just got a new fountain pen. Oops, I know I said I wasn't gonna get more stuff, but this deal was a little too good. It's bright green. Very. Bright. The color's pretty close on my computer.

More after the jump!

Bogota Lock Picks

This is kind of scary, but I opened my house locks with ease. Made the picks yesterday, spent 10 minutes practicing today, and then took the videos. So yeah.. complete novice. Here's a video anyways. I'll make the How-To in a week or so I guess.

Bogota Style Lockpicks!!

Yup, so I made my own pair of Bogotas. They were originally conceived by Raimundo, and named after the Bogota mountains from which he took inspiration. They go for around $30 a pair, which is a little pricey, so I made my own. Went biking around, and in an hour, found 4 street sweeper bristles, which make great lock picks. I'm a very novice picker, and haven't even had time to test this pair out. I made them this afternoon, and have been sanding during the evening. But, here they are.
I'll pop in an update tomorrow or the day after... and we'll see if these work.

Fisher Bullet

So I was lucky enough to find a Fisher Bullet while out hiking.

It's a pretty nice pen, closes up very small. The weird thing is that retention is provided by an o-ring, so pulling it open has quite some resistance. Runs a fisher cartridge, which is famed for the pressurized internals, allowing one to write upside down, underwater, and of course, in space. Here's a shot in hand:

Here it is. My little pack of food for EDC. Well, bag EDC, mostly my school backpack. 1260 Calories, 12.5 ounces in weight. More specifics after the jump.
